Page 11. People keep telling me I'm lucky to have a job at all. Maybe. Is selling pretty much all your time and energy for $9 an hour really a good deal? Not if you have higher aspirations - and I damn well do.

They speak the truth.
A lot of people have no job or income of any kind and so far no leads on anything; not even slinging burgers and fries since companies are getting rid of people, not hiring new. So if you have a job now be happy. Not to say to stop looking for better though, you do have dreams. Don't let those dreams make you hate what you have now or it may effect your performance and the next one they decide to get rid of is you and then you won't even have that. If it helps, think of it as you are using them as a stepping stone to advancement, not them using you.
Be happy with what you have and keep those feelers out and eyes open. You never know when opportunity will come knocking.
