Merfolks are usually a matriarchal society and the birth of a male is an oddity above all, although it is never taken as a bad omen. But such an event never occured in the royal family of the Coral Rift, making the kingdom a matriarchal society when titles are mostly given from mothers to daughters. Azulyn is the second daughter or queen Frellia but even at not being the first successor of her mother, is granted a fair amount of authority and respect ; even having a royal tiara only second to her older sister's.
Mermaids are said to prey on lost males on the first night of the full Moon, on the shores of their territory in the depths... Yet Azulyn never bothered to comply by that standard from now. She holds great respect towards her older sister and next queen of the Coral Right since their childhood, and works every day the Sea God makes for her and the kingdom she's bound to manage soon enough. Appointed as the protecting princess of the kingdom, she rarely went further than its territory and can only fantasize on the wonders hiding beyond the seas one day she thrills to explore.¤ ¤ ¤ ¤ ¤Since quite some time I thrilled for some Monstergirls, hitting on the more humanoid side of things somehow. Dark elves, kitsunes, there are many beautiful and exotic creatures to love... and hell, mermaids as well ~
DeviantArt's artist Asgard-Chronicles sure has loveable adoptables to give out. Not a simple base-coloured adopt (though some can have their charms) but one having its unique features and looks, and that's surely why I fell for one of his adopts, even asking for a cute Reference sheet for her. Meet Azulyn, one of my newest additions in my OC collection :'3
