The Faith Class Hospital Ship is a non-combatant offshoot of the Bane Class Light Cruiser and as such, is also produced by KarmaTech. Many Faith Class vessels remained in hyperspace during the Earth-Minbari War so that they could respond to battlefield casualties after fighting has ended. One vessel in particular, the EAS Angel of Healing, was the first ship to respond to the real distress call from the damaged Hyperion Class Cruiser EAS Lexington after it destroyed the Minbari flagship Drala Fi (or Black Star as humans called it).
