Pastime Paradise is my favorite Stevie Wonder song. The original song is of course about a much more serious subject than the themes I'll be dealing with in the Electra story -- but isn't it interesting how even once we know what the lyrics to a song are about we can still relate them to other things? The first set of lyrics which I use here will set the mood for a later part of the story and shortly before a very important event.
This is during Electra's "punk" phase. Lolly would always try to dress in a style that matched Electra, but she never quite got it right.

I love how once you're on the internets people think they can become famous stars and turn into instantly shallow bastards because there's always some troupe of pretend friends around you to kiss your ass and tell you how great you are. You can don and shed friends like clothing because hey, they're not real people, just means to your end of popularity. We can clique up so much easier and pretend we're somebody important because of the anonymous nature of the net. Isn't the 21st century great?
