Say. Do you recall an anime series from the early 1970s called "Dougram?" That and Macross were the first "Fighting Machine" style anime that I cut my "Otaku teeth" on. I got hooked on the show when my brother who was in the US Navy at the time started sending me model kits from Japan, saying, "This looks like something you'd draw."

I collect anime series, mecha and not, and i have all the episodes of a lot of famous ones like "Gundam-0079", "Shin-seiki-Evangelion", "Sousei no Aquarion" and other ones less famous in occident but wich have striked in Japan like "Top o nerae ! Gunbuster" (designed by Haruhiko Mikimoto, the same of Macross :D )... You learned very well... your bro has really right ;) !
