EXTENDED INFORMATION:
"Are they feral?"
If you want yours to be it can, but Doodlebirds are by default sapient, sentient, and usually civilized enough to wear clothes and speak.
"How big are they?"
As large or small as you imagine them to be. I personally see them a little big larger than a goose or dodo.
"What are they based on?"
They're heavily inspired by ducks, dodos, and crows and their HONK HONK HONK is obviously inspired by geese. The species itself came to me as a shower thought and was intended to be a standalone sona.
"Why can't they have ____?"
If too much is tacked onto them like horns, crazy wings, etc. they may no longer resemble doodlebirds! That's not to say you ABSOLUTELY CAN NOT do it, but it's not encouraged.
"Who the heck is Spats?"
Easy, he's pale 's OC and kindof unofficial mascot for Doodlebirds.
"What about the pink bird?"
That's pale 's doodlebird sona and you can see it here:

"Does my own doodlebird have to look like the ones you draw?"
Nope!
"Can pale design one for me?"
Sure! It will be considered a commission, however, and regular rates may apply.
"Are there any rules I need to know about?"
The only rule that really stands out is crediting pale! Please link back to pale or this guide sheet in some way if you post doodlebirds online or if someone asks you about them. I also ask that you tag them with "doodlebird" so they can be found easily, but that's less of a rule and more just me wanting to see your creations!
"Is there any lore associated with them?"
There may be in the future, but for now they're just a fun little species. Keep an eye out for any developments!
