Celebrity Fursonas: 2016 Presidential Candidates
I thought I'd post this before the election ends! I wanted to do more celebrity fursonas and presidential elections only happen once every four years. I tried to be even-handed in my portrayal of both of them. I won't tell you who I'm voting for. You'll just have to guess! ;)
That is Democratic Nominee Hillary Clinton on the left and Republican Nominee Donald Trump on the right.
I made Clinton a silver fox because she's observant and likes to get things done on her own. Her stature and hair-color reminds me of particularly of a silver fox rather than a red, grey, etcetera. Her supporters say she's intelligent, independent, clever and tough, while those who oppose her say she's shifty, untrustworthy, cold and sometimes say she's a crook. Sometimes they call her a b**ch too. Some of her supporters also say that, but they see it in a positive way (especially the ladies). Comedian Tina Fey once said that "She is a b**ch, but y'know what? B**ches get stuff DONE.", so of course I had to make her a canine no matter what I did!
I made Trump a lion because he likes to be in charge, he's confident and he speaks very loudly. Every time I looked at him he sort of had a feline-face to me, and of course he has that hair, which reminds me a lion's mane. His supporters say he's strong, proud, powerful and a fighter, while those who oppose him say he's violent, arrogant and hotheaded and sometimes they call him a tyrant. I told someone who opposes him (I won't say who) about the fursonas I'd give the candidates and they said I shouldn't make Trump a lion. I told them that the lion is a hero in some cultures (like in a lot of Asia and Europe), but he's a bully in others (like in many African tribes) so it fits both viewpoints of him.
I hope to do more celebrities soon!
