Hay guys,
Still been working on my OC for Them's Fightin' Herds.
This doodle was just to get the body design figured out, which I think I'm fairly pleased with the result. I added a couple details that are vital to my character, such as my signature fedora, my ponytails, anklets, birthmark and brown muzzle, but these are pretty much the bare basics.
(funny story; I was trying to figure out how to design my eyes, and couldn't decide how I should make my pupil, being the weird sideways rectangle pupils that goats actually have, or be round, or something in between. I had drawn, like, 4 or 5 different eyes with different styles of pupils and wondering how Mane6 was gonna design the goat character's eyes, when something occurred to me. I looked at the pictures of all the fighters from TFH to verify my suspicions, the foenum fighters don't even have pupils in their irises
And thus the mystery of how my pupils should be designed was solved! ^^; )
For the next step, I'm planning to make a printout of this image, and try figuring out his coat pattern/markings, and possibly his colors.
When I get that figured out, I'll start working on his tool belt with some electrical engineering related tools/supplies. I'm thinking of modeling a saddlebag style belt after my actual work belt that I use at my job.
I technically have until the 15th to figure out my OC's design, and send it in, but I wanna try to get his design finished this weekend. I honestly thought I would have finished him by now, or at least be further along, but unfortunately I have been in a pretty tough battle with depression lately, with all that has happened in my life, and things are still not going so well. (I had a plan to create a product that I would be able to build and sell to make a few extra bucks, but it is looking to be a LOT more complicated than I anticipated. Electronic components are incredibly hard to find, and are stupidly expensive!)
Plus with work, I have nearly no spare time during the week, and my family has been eating up most of it. (and more often than not, just making me feel worse about my life).
Anyway, I figured I'd show you guys this. Hopefully I'll have another update on him soon...
