Casshern is a special robot that can heal himself while the rest of the world rusts away, robots are dieing and so are the humans. Casshern had killed the worlds only means of living. Now the robots and humans have heard a rumor that if they eat casshern they would never rust, so the whole world is against him. Its a pretty big emo show.

Casshern... for some reason, I keep associating Casshern with like, a slightly different Megaman X or something. Like, if MMX was a touch grittier.

Well, the Megaman series was somewhat based from Casshern. Rush was created from his robo-dog, Frender. And in one of the animes, Casshern had to fight against the "Sigma Project", iirc.

That's probably it then. I knew there was something similar I'd seen...

heh... Casshern's helmet kinda looks like Quickman's. Wonder if Quickman's helmet was an intentional nod. LoL.
