A commissioned costume I made for a customer's kid. Not sure if I'll do commissions for kids again, but we'll see. It was a lot of fun, but so stressful because I was terrified of letting her down.
The character design was her own, but I wanted to make it unique by giving it oversized, almost-floppy ears and rounded features. I figured since it was for a kid, I wanted it to look sort of kid-like.
(Just as a note: she kept posting my progress pics to her own Instagram account, trying to make it look as though she was making it herself. I'm mildly annoyed by it at most, but I figure it'll only bite her in the butt eventually. I'll let her learn on her own.)

I think it already did when she tried to take her first commission, lol. She posts her own progress pics on fursuit heads that she's actually doing herself and it's pretty obvious that they're made by different people.
I'm really happy that she was inspired to make her own though. I'm seeing huge improvement with each one she makes...though it'd be nice to see her slow down and actually finish one.

It's totally fine. She's just a kid, so I somewhat expected it. I actually went to her place so that she could watch the process and learn how to make them herself and told her that, with practice, she could start making them for her friends too. She kindaaaaa jumped the gun a bit and used the progress pics as examples to start taking commissions herself. I got a text in the middle of the night of her freaking out when she realized that commissions are hard. No idea what came out of that one. She's still practicing making fursuit heads and each one is showing considerable improvement, so I think in the long run it'll be worth it for her, but I think it's obvious to others that her progress pics are considerably different than this fursuit's progress pics. ;)
