An image made fully in Illustrator. I had figured out this way of thinking
about using the program that helped me understand what I was doing.
When I mentally conceived of it as working with scissors and construction
paper, it made a lot more sense to me than drawing with vectors and so
on. I'm able to understand it a lot more fully now, but at the time, I had
no mental model and it was very difficult at first until making that breakthrough
of understanding.

This piece was just a little event poster thing, very silly. I was doing the
short-lived Boston Triathlon regularly at this point, and so this was in regards
to that. Boston Harber jellyfish, ugh. DO NOT WANT DO NOT SWALLOW.
