Thank you And yes, a certain group of people on this site love to stir the drama about having regular, garden-variety non-furry art uploaded here. Sod them. Tainui and Andrej are the two main (human) characters from one of the stories I've written, which feature the big reptilian Vanguard aliens I already have so many pictures of.
I think you misunderstand; The folk I am referring to who think that human artwork isn't allowed are artists who draw a lot of human artwork themselves. They hesitate to upload their human-themed work, because they seem to think that it isn't allowed on the site when, in fact, it is welcome.
( I mean, really, the VAST MAJORITY of anthro characters are humans, just with some animal characteristics )

I'll be interested to see what your take on my human characters are if you are willing to draw them for me sometime? Very much looking forward to seeing what you come up with for my Vanguard boy Two-Talon in the meantime anyway - but no rush though, not trying to pressure you!
When I write up a character I don't always go into a lot of detail about how they look other than a very superficial description, and I do this deliberately. I don't usually have a specific person in mind when I picture my characters, but more of a look - I prefer a bit of imagination. And I would like to think that this gives my readers room to tailer the character a little toward what they would like to imagine (and like) as well
Tainui - beautiful young Maori guy, hazel eyes, black hair, well built, a few proper tribal tattoos... but exactly what he looks like? Use your imagination
Andrej - pale, dark-haired, Eastern-European look, athletic body... I dunno, imagine your favorite Czech porno star

Exactly - you got it, Blain... Hopefully by giving the reader much more 'control' over what they believe the character looks like, then this will drag them into the story more. They can associate more with the character, so when good or bad things happen, those emotions can be felt by the reader as well.
Heh, that's the way it works in theory, anyway

Disgusting nekkid humans with their awful, exposed dangling bits and their ridiculous pseudo-mammary glands! And gross, awful hair!
Actually in the story Tainui generally kept his hair fairly short. I never specifically mentioned much about it, but I would imagine in hindsight that once he reached New-Home, he probably would have let it grow out quite a bit. Not sure that I'd trust a Vanguard to be much of a barber

hehehe - you're funny
Guessing they'd probably go for something a little more high-tech than scissors, though. "Uh, Cleaves-In-Half, why are you powering up that massive terawatt particle-beam cannon...?"
Hmm, for that matter, a Vanguard would probably consider something like long hair to be a weakness - viewing it the same way an opponent would, i.e. as something that could be used against you by grabbing it and either tearing, or using it to break the neck, strangle you, pull your head back to expose the neck (traditional Vanguard fighting technique - go for the neck), etc.

*grumbles* you and me both, I'm such a goodamned poofter when it comes to the thought of getting a tat. I don't forsee you having much in the way of difficulty into coaxing anyone into your bed though, tats or otherwise
If you did get a tat, what would it be of and where would you have it done?

I dunno... I can't ever see myself getting one, if not because it would take me an eternity to actually pick one (as it took me an entire fucking week to decide on a suit, once) but also since I'm kinda wracked with the worrysome thought that I might get myself a tattoo that I'll end up hating years down the line.
But, gun to my head, I'd probably get a cheeky little 8-bit Super Mario Mushroom, and have it placed on my ass. The left cheek, specifically, which is the less likely of my two cheeks to be seen publicly, given the weave of my hips and the odds of my pants ever falling down.

Any special significance with the mushroom, or is it just an 8-bit nostalgia thing?
And how on Earth do you walk if you weave your hips? Like a pregnant hippo? I think you're probably a lot wiser than many out there who slather themselves in 'cool' tats like all those guys running around now with so-called tribal style tattoos all over them... imagine how awful that's gonna look when they're 70 or 80
