This turned out intense. That must be the word that fits best, along with great and awesome and beautiful, of course

I love how you underlined the emotion already apparent in the sketch you showed me with the bright reds and contrasting white and black. Makes me think he’s depressed and frustrated, but also incredibly angry since red always makes me think if anger for some reason

I like how you drew a trail of dandelions behind him, as if his crown of flowers (symbolizes a halo or something) have fallen apart and all that remains of its former grace is the lonely flower in his hand. I don’t know if you intended the title to match this or Xilmior’s state of mind or both

The whiteness of the freckles and tears at the ground reminds me a bit of constellations. I don’t know why I’m so struck by this. It’s beautiful…

I also love the fact that you actually did something less than cheerful this time. I love how bright ad happy your art is, but this only proves that you can do all kinds of stuff. I’m incredibly happy with how this turned out, as always I’m floored by your skills to not only draw great on a technical level, but also how you convey emotion and atmosphere

I'm just ..feeling very apologetic for taking so long on it, you know? But I'm glad that I did, I think, because the piece probably wouldn't have turned out quite this way if I had forced myself to work on it when the art muse wasn't yet ready to do so (At least, this is the only way I have managed to word it that seems the most accurate... Er, does that even make sense?)

Xilmior is a wonderful character, and depicting him in such a ..broken state was rattling me; I kept feeling so sorry for him..

I'm so happy that you like the result, and that it comes across as something emotional / powerful. The bits of white, like tears, were the last things I added to the picture, and... Well, now I wonder what sorts of things might have happened to him, to bring him to such a crestfallen state? What would it take, you think?

Aw, I don't know, I can't really imagine what could get him down, ever, since he's such a chipper dude, but I'm sure it was awful. I wouldn't have anyone else drawing him in this state, though
