Hmmm. Interesting.. It could have been some sort of electroshock device.. Older hospitals often used water for conduction of early electroshock used for the treatment of psychotics.. At least if my memory serves correct. If you ever go back there, see if you can read that nameplate.. I'm curious what it says.
