Ok, I was watching "A state of mind", a documentary of North Korea, and later, out of curiosity, I looked up the anthem on YouTube (which was not too bad. Better than the Malaysian one anyway). A combo of this inspired me to draw this piece: A typical propaganda poster, the kind you'd see in Pyongyang classrooms.
This piece is a loyal soldier of the Korean People's Army, standing in front of the flag and holding the "Hammer of the People." I even drew him holding an AK-47.
The writing on the hammer says "Workers", the writing on the AK-47 says "Korean People's Army" and the text at the bottom says "Defend Communism! Defend Korea!"
PS: I am not or communist nor do I support Juche ideology.

Thanks Buck. I was really trying to make sure it looked like an AK. I find rogue amd controversial countries very interesting to study, like Cuba, East Germany, Israel and Iran. But, my favourite country to study is North Korea. What makes it so fascinating is that there's just so little we know of it. I've kinda made it a goal in life to see Pyongyang for myself before Korea reunites.
Thanks RJ. Yeah, hopefully I'll start the webcomic soon. I'm currently thinking out the major plotline of the story. I've already established a few points like how the European Union collapses in discord in leadup to the war. I've also gotta work out which countries are on which side. Man, fabricating a World War 3 is difficult
Heh! Lets hope you never have to do it for real.
And BTW, why does the advert for badly drawn Kitties - A webcomic which i myself would like to at least have a look at - always appear while i am sending a message, and then as soon as i have finished writing, it dissapears?!
Sod's law.

Well for your convenience, i got the link to the webcomic for you. The comic's a lesbian-themed comic strip and it is REALLY funny, I can tell you that. Read it from the start so you understand the story.

well, ROK officials are probably focusing in on my IP address right now.
if things go the way i want them to the north korean government would collapse and the ROK would occupy and control it until the country is ready to be absorbed by the ROK. after unification is complete the ROK would become very strong and able to stabilize the region. the people of n korea would be freed from the slavery of communism.
but yeah, good drawing. even though its about a fucked up country, damn commies :þ

Well, collapse and topple the government AFTER I've taken my North Korean holiday. I wanna see pyongyang with my own eyes and see a Mass Games before Korea reunites. And, while I'd love to say that the DPRK will fall, I highly doubt it will ever fall. North Korea is truely a state of mind: The students every morning at school assembly are given the message "We are the warriors of communism. We shall defend our leader, the General, TO THE DEATH" and one of the lessons involve the teacher teaching "the 3 greatnesses of the General: Greatness in ideology, Greatness in leadership..." and something else. They are a people (albeit misguided) that are absolutely loyal and patriotic. They will fight S. Korean and US troops with knives if they have to. One of the girls who participated in the mass games said "When I was performing, I was very scared and nervous. But the General seemed to be looking at me. It was like he said 'Don't worry, just do your best' I will never forget the confidence his presence gave me"
They are a misguided and lied-to people, but something has to be said about their loyalty.

the most loyal people live in Pyongyang, the people that live elsewhere are terrified of their government and although they might fight US soldiers tooth and nail they might just surrender to ROK soldiers. many attempt to escape to china and eventually to S. Korea, some are desperate enough to cross the DMZ. the family members of those that defect will be treated very badly, and koreans take great pride and honor in their family. so if they are willing to have their whole family killed just so they can live free from tyranny what does that tell you about the loyalty of the n. koreans?
The Soviet Union's anthem is still the most beautiful of them all

I know this is from 12 years ago, but I want to point out something :
First, 노동(nodong) is South Korea's spelling. The North spells it as 로동 (rodong).
Secondly, North Korean people call their country 조선 (Choson), and 한국 (Hanguk) is how South Koreans call they country, you dirty imperialist spy ! /jk
