It was a 15 hour drive to the con, passing endless Waffle Houses, but it went smoothly thanks to Gideon's World War Z book on tape, and the ClassicRadio audio dramas and comedies on XM Radio. Over the trip, I sampled fried chicken from KFC, Pitty Pat's Porch, and Bojangles! It's my favorite food, so I try to find a place for it in my diet.
I gotta say that my mood was soaring thanks to keeping up with my Power90 exercise routine. I'm in great shape and the awesome part is that I'm only one-third into the 90 days of it. With all my seam-repairing and the diligent work of Kamber and Leandra, the Roxikat fursuit from ArtSlave had nicely fitting jean shorts with a nice fasten around the tail.
I also spent time in the artist alley and did five fully inked commissions that I enjoyed, although I'm terrible at drawing dragons. I'll be posting them to my FA page now and then. I was very pleased to get a chance to draw for sukebepanda who thoroughly enjoyed her first furry con. I sold a handful of my one-dollar Roxikat trading cards and handed out Kamber cards, but most people just thought they were business cards. Like I suspected, I needed a display of five or six cards so that people would understand what I was selling.
I missed the fursuit parade because of all the running around to pick up my new fursuit head from ArtSlave. I'm told that the hotel construction made the parade difficult to navigate, so I hope that's cleared up by next year. I was so pissed when I found out that I punched the wall with a loud Roxi-quack of "FUCK!" Oh, and they did their big group photo in the ballroom *before* the parade. I'll have to remember that one. I had fun posing for photos at the furshoot.com booth and I'll keep an eye on their site to see when the FWA photos appear.
Regarding the ArtSlave fursuit head, I think I want to build on it or make my own from scratch. She gave me a big discount, but it's really not what I was looking for. I'm just glad it's over with. Two years of promises, and I won't say anything else on the matter. I do love the bodysuit that she and Mirabem made though!!! I'm just very picky when it comes to her face.

justindzs He sculpted and painted a Roxikat bust! She looks devillishly good. :)

Hated missing you there this year, but since I had a horrible cold anyway I would have been out of it the whole con. So until next year, let's hear it for Roxiswag! (And don't feel too bad, Seaweed was supposed to debut a new suit at the con, and got her bodysuit in just a day before - only to find out it was just a taaaaad too small. Fudgebunnies. Expect to be gag-hugged by a wolverine and a cow next year, hehe)
