Lenny is a young doberman who lost his left leg after kicking a bomb disguised as a toy ball, he was lucky to survive because the 3 children playing with him didn't, after that he lost his parents in a bombing raid. for 3 years he floated around various orphanages until he caught the eye of Myra (Whom he affectionately calls "Mrs. M") who wishes to adopt him, but doesn't have the money to care for him or the necessary training in child therapy.
