My third and best conbadge done at FWA, this time of
blitzneko's character 'Sage' who first appeared as a commission from October, 2007.
This time around, I was able to include some effects that I hadn't done before in a marker pic--shading and highlights in the hair, and eyes, and some colors attained by layering colors and combinations of colors that I simply didn't have (mostly the darker browns). This time, the cards I made of all my markers color samples came in expecially handy, both to match up to the reference I did digitally, and to make a note of the colors I need to replace.
Level-adjusted photo, Prismacolor markers over brush inked pencils.

I don't have a 'personal character' to represent me, so conbadges of myself would be a tough sell (Ah, the only downside of not having a 'fursona'). However, I still have plans for doing 'virtual conbadges' of other folks' characters for additional marker practice, and I could slot you in as a test subject. No timetable though--I have a few things to get out of the way artwise before I can start on them.
