It probably would've worked a lot better for that if the saw blade (and maces) were pointing the right way, as in having the blade being held in the weapon all buzz-saw style so it can actually cut you effectively. Although the maces might get in the way of that, they'd probably have to be attached on the sides of the weapon as an alternate melee choice, then fold away somehow so you could use the saw blade without them getting in the way or damaging the blade itself. ....... Dammit, now my inner designer is trying to come up with a workable model for this thing, to be used in an RPG setting. >.< I already have a chain-whip in my campaign called the 'Chain of Command', based on one of Simon Belmont's whips.

..I really need to get out more.

The original toy weapon looked like this. Reimagining it as a gun was probably more practical.

Oh, I know what the original looks like, I have the toy. I was just saying how it could've been designed a bit better for its function; as opposed to just tilting the blade down, taking away the chains from the maces and just leaving the spiked balls there, and turning it into a gun. Which, while admittedly kind've badass, could've been done a little better aesthetically.
Thanks! We've been rewatching and talking about Beast Wars weekly for only a bit, so like I said, we just got to this episode recently. ^_^
