The Teijru in this rough drawing is Ice. Since his youth he has suffered from a condition known as "chronic hypofervor." Typically the life energy of fervals (such as Teijru and Linkha) are what keep them warm as well as focused. Occasionally an illness named hypofervor may set on that causes life energy to dissipate quicker than usual, making the afflicted ferval tired, weak and cold. In most cases the illness goes away a day or two after the onset; Ice's hypofervor, however, is permanent, and he has to undergo constant treatment to combat the potentially fatal condition. Wearing a badge signalling his illness (written as "zero"FV), he is treated fairly well by his fellow Teijru and given tasks that will not strain his energy too hard. All the while, he always wears clothing that will keep him as warm as possible -- and he is the only Teijru to wear gloves and boots, covering four of the five typical life energy exit points. Of those that have had chronic hypofervor, Ice currently holds the record for the longest lifespan, and he does his best to live a normal life.

But he's never alone. Caring for Ice are a small group of Linkha, keeping track of his condition and occasionally fetching him the things he needs. Typically four or five of the little creatures are with him, but one constant among the group is a rare black-furred Linkha named Holly. Considered the strongest of her kind, she has made it her sworn duty to protect Ice from all harm. As such, she is very cautious to the point of overprotective, typically staring down strangers with a hostile glare. Sometimes she may use her kinesis skills to fend off threats via a set of unbreakable zechronite spikes. Guardian skills aside, she cares the most about Ice and is the only Linkha that remains with him at all times. Ice worries that her constant worrying and protection has deprived her of sleep, but Holly consistently claims she's got plenty of energy to spare.
