First standalone pic commission at FWA, it's Kartonis bursting free of the mud bog he's been playing in--which probably means he'll be back soon to plow straight into it. I don't know how he managed to get airborne with all that goo clinging to him, but he's evidently had a lot of practice :)
This would be my third time drawing a dragon character (the second would be the conbadge), and my first time drawing a quadruped. Such is the adventure of artist's alley--you'll never know when you'll be asked to try something outside of your experience.
This submission is a level-adjusted photo of the drawing, it'll eventually be replaced with a regular scan (which brings up the possibility of a digital color version)

Lots of practice indeed, and you can be rest assured that I'll return to the slop. On that note, I'd love to get a sequel as such from you continuing this fun romp in the bog. *grins*
This ink ended up being one of my favorite things that I got at FWA. Such crisp, clean work (or as clean as the subject matter can be) and great job on all the details, especially the mucky ones.
