Tama and her brother Mizu here to give a little advice for all us monhun'ers out there. Just because the mitsunes you fight in MHGen are male, that doesn’t mean every one you meet elsewhere is going to be male too. Remembering that little tidbit will help you avoid awkward situations like this!
Being female, Tama has a duller coloration and smaller frills than her brother, but when they're on their own that might not always be readily apparent. A keen observer would be able to tell the difference, but it's not as clear as it is with Rathian and Rathalos or Jaggia and Great Jaggi. So if you're not careful, you might find yourself in an awkward moment xD



I still struggle with drawing the “fins” along a mitsune’s back and drawing their snout - it’s deceptively simple looking, but so tricky to make look “right”! Also behold my horrid human-drawing skills hah. At least it came out somewhat better than I expected, I guess.
