sorry, correct me if i am mistaken
we went from vile being the main character and it being an action comic with swords and things
went through a resurrection, vile got killed and now....we're playing a game similar to yu gi oh? with jolez? and vile's brother?

Vile is and entirly different character. The main one is "Vilitan" who was mistaken for Vile.
The story will go back to Vilitan in the main episodes. "World Gates: J" is about Jolly specifically revolving around his gambler persona. This will go back to the main story after these side stories.

might i suggest creating a fellowship and having someone else write from your ideas and then you draw them

i was going to do a comic, but then i got lazy and wrote a couple pages of story and drew some one-panels instead
