Sambuca. I loved the sktech of this pic, the finished not so much. He lost his sassy look when I had to white out part of his face to fix a smudge of run-away navy from a leaky marker.

Drawing is still hard, still too much reminder of my late twin sis. Same as this laptop, HER laptop. It makes me sad to use it...but I have no working computer and I know she would hate for 'Metric' to lay by the wayside. Still I refuse to delete her user profile and her files. I just cling to everything that was hers or she created even if it's her old pharmacology homework or toothbrush.

Okay so this is for Cally- one of her lion chars Sambuca. He's a white lion- as in a leucistic lion not a lion who is RGB FFFFFF. He's also a barbary lion. I wasn't exactly sure how his mane is style but I hope it's close.
I added those 'freckles' on his nose and muzzle because I noticed that many of the coastal lions seem to have those. Even in the groups of mainly seal-eating lions recenetly reintroduced they pop up on the cubbies in a few generations. I thought they might help make him stand out among all the white and "white" lions out there.

I wish I could get my tablet working better. I need my sis back to do that kind of thing for me. I hate this new life without her. And ink and marker like this is so much work and when you aren't exactly steller with the media it's frustrating.
