Fili is of a mysterious race known as Ta'Ruui, where not much is known, if anything at all. It's unknown if Fili is representative of his/her species, as his/her ability to change their body at-will is so bizarre and unique, and there's no other known Ta'Ruui in this dimension. It makes it rather difficult as well seeing how as part of their partial shape-shifting he-she has left their true gender and coloration debatable. But it seems that this picture here is the best reference they can sum up of them, since Fili seems to like the male, multi-colored look most often, with no lack of tentacles.
