Mystical Phoenix Redraw Challenge

I've seen a lot of those "re-draw art challenges" and always wanted to do one, so I finally sat down and committed to it.
The first drawing I did in 2008: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1199009/ this one I just completed. 8 years shows a lot of difference, mainly in the materials. The first one was drawn on computer copy paper, inked with ball point pen, and colored with Crayola colored pencils. This one was drawn on Strathmore Visual Journal mixed media paper, inked with a Tombow ABT N15 brush pen, and colored with Prismacolor brush tip markers. Both were drawn with a #2B pencil, just different brands. :'V lol
Not many of my old works I still like, but the original has always stuck with me. I guess I just really like the coloring I did on it. Since it's a Phoenix, I thought it was appropriate for a rebirth redraw. Might do another one of these some time, I enjoyed it. And I'm proud that I sketched, inked, and colored this in just 2 days, been ages since I've been able to do that! D'///

Both versions are absolutely impeccable by themselves, but the side by side comparison is without a doubt very stark. I congratulate you on the absolutely stupendous growth over 8 years, and completing both pieces! It's too bad I cant hire a team of people to clap at you over the internet, otherwise I would.
