Flowers and rocks and ocatillo cactus and oh so much more. Taken near the city of Anzo Borrego during the Golden Hour...but there were mountains in the way of the sun at that spot. Better luck next time.

It looks alright to me. When I take photographs in the wild, I try to be very instinctive and to take what gives me emotions. I also try colors and lights effects, only with what Nature gives me. But I'm obviously influenced cuz I'm a botanist and a mycologist (in Europe).
It's a bit: let you mind wander, watch far and watch closer, play with what you like. And most of all, have fun! Oh, and don't hesitate to lie on the ground or to lean against a rock. And better put old clothes if you gotta do that in marshes, so there's no problem if they're wet or dirty.

I'm definitely not a photographer, but I've seen a lot of photos. This one's good, but as someone said earlier, perhaps a bit flat. You might want to look at your depth of field to see if there's something in particular you want to pick out to draw the eye towards. For me, when I look at this, I'm not sure what to focus on - the rock? the yellow, or the white flowers? The lack of a distinct focal point makes this a little harder to read than I think you'd intend.
