As with most of my works of anthropomorphic art, I tend to make the occasional mistake. Such was the case for my original "Brain Freeze" comic gag.
The most glaring error of all was not making the polar bear's nose solid black. So, as long as I was touching up his nose, I thought I'd add a splash of color to everything else in the picture (except for, of course, the bear, the snow, the igloo, and part of the Eskimo's wardrobe).
With a mock aurora borealis in the background, some deep blue for the water in the foreground, some pink for the tongues of the two critters, and some brown to show off the seal's fur (and the inside of the Eskimo suit), the polar bear's broad belly should stand out just a little bit more...
