For the illusive AI known as V.A.L., space isn't exactly baren. It has forgotten projects, Drifting planetoids and thousands of anomalies to investigate. Despite managing to decentralize herself years ago, V.A.L. has taken to refitting a particular dreadnaught to be her "Crown Jewel" Vessel, and given her consistent presence on board, it has been granted the identifier "NEXUS".
