"Sigh, another buffet successfully imbibed. V, girl, you're one excellent gourmand of a Chozo," Velvet Soul said to herself, patting her belly's engreatened padding with a sigh. At times, her cocktail-of-DNA did cause her to balloon mysteriously with fat, most notably when receiving power suit upgrades or absorbing large amounts of energy. The upside, though, was she was immune to the X and Metroids didn't even notice her. (Given, with X immunity, she was able to absorb the parasites which would cause extreme fattening, but she'd rather be fat than X parasite food.)

Another perk was an ability to eat nigh-endless amounts of food, so the only limit to what sort of feasts she could ingest was her imagination... and her wallet. But if she continued to receive bounties of this magnitude, then she wouldn't have to worry about that soon enough.
