On September 15, 1916, on the Somme sector of the Western Front near Flers-Courcelette, the British Army made the combat debut of a weapon that would forever serve as a mainstay of land warfare: the tank.
So I've made another WWI centennial tribute, revealing my lioness without a gas mask. I've also settled for a name: Kendra Lewis.
I have to admit that the rivet patterns on the are gravely inaccurate, and the rivets themselves are awfully done. Additionally, real Mark I tanks were fitted with a makeshift, gabled canopy. That feature is absent since I felt that it would disrupt the balance of this picture (if it had one to begin with).
