Oddly enough, they do not eschew firearms. I have been told they wil come to auctions to bid on guns. I even overheard a couple of Amish men discusing the merits of certain calibers while visiting a sporting goods/outdoors shop.

common misconception is that they hate tech for being scared of it . Reality is that Amish and Mennonites don't necessarily hate tech they can vote on using certain things but if it creates too much leisure time they forbade it which I can understand going back to the whole 'an idle mind is the devils playground' and I can sympathize to to that ,the feeling of happiness getting something done.
