Wow, he's beautiful! But that brings up a couple of questions. Did you draw him after one of the Dutcher wolves Motomo, or is there another character named that? I've been using this name since 2006 and nobody has said anything, but I don't want to steal anybody's character either.
Either way, I think your painting of him is gorgeous. He's depicted perfectly. Gorgeous black wolf. I fell in love with the Dutcher wolf when I saw him in a book that I own about their wolf project. I have their books and video tapes (yes, VHS)
Hope to see you at MFF (if you are planning on coming)

That's the thing that made me take his name. He was SO,SO, pretty. I was stricken by his beauty. When I was searching for a name, I decided on his because I liked him so much. I've studied wolves for many years now. Long before I was a furry. My love (and study) of wolves goes back to roughly 1990. I looked in to getting a hybrid but decided to do some research first and make an educated purchase/adoption. I'm glad I did. I found out that it would have not been in my best interest and did not do so. I visited Wolf Park in Battleground, IN and did a lot of talking with people who knew wolves well. I learned an immense amount of knowledge from them and am still grateful for what they taught me.
Later, I learned of Jim and Jamie Dutcher who had the Sawtooth Pack in Idaho and the work they did. That is how I learned of Motomo and later decided to take his name and honor him when I joined the fandom.
It's nice to see that you liked him as well. Your art of him is beautiful. I never knew you did this picture. I'm very happy that you decided to repost this.
See you at MFF

The fur detail is really gorgeous.
It also really leads the eye across the figure really well-- the way it basically tufts into little arrows. So that the viewer doesn't feel quite so dirty when leering down his form-- "oh it's just how the image was built. Okay." Haha. The subtlety of the raised eyebrow in the expression is also cute-- it gives him an expression that almost changes depending on angle of view.
