Tried to draw out a gator with a more female look, not entirely sure if I got the look down or not. But all in all I think that it came out looking alright.
I so need to start working on backgrounds.

Well, thank you.
Yea, putting breasts onto a reptile creature just to make it look female is something that just never looked quite right to me. I've seen a lot of other artist that can pull it off and very well, but it's just something that I never really got into.
So in this case I guess that I did something right.
I still need to sit down one of these days and draw out one of your Vanguard guys or gals.

Completely agree with you. Although as you say, there are a few artists who can carry it off well, it does strike me as being a little odd. But then again, we're all playing a great big complicated game of make-believe with our creations anyway, so for those who like tits, meh, why the hell not, right?
And yes, you should feel justifiably proud of your efforts on this one - seriously, it looks good and you've done a great job of employing just the right sorts of femininity to carry it off. And yeah, I'm with MrMinos, let's see some colour
Well, I'd love to see your take on one of my boys or girls. Although the females give live birth, they don't breast feed - the resulting spawnlings are ready to tear into fresh meat right after birth. Most Vanguard pregnancies result in a single off-spring, if two embryos are gestated the stronger of the pair will usually cannibalise the weaker before birth.
The only major visual difference between male and female Vanguard is that the females, like many mammals, have wider/rounder hips to cope with the birthing process. And a longer, flatter clocoa.

After reading the positive comments that I've gotten so far I'll definitely try out some more female types and see how they come out.
Yea, the coloring aspect is something that I do need to sit down at some point and work on, it just intimidates the hell out of me when I get to thinking about it. But it's something that I need to get over and just start in on.
Cool and helpful info on the Vanguard females, when I start in on one of them I'll probably have a few anatomy questions to ask you if that's alright.

Hey thanks man, the female form is something that I rarely draw out, so it's good to know that I managed to pull it off. I guess that using those model sheets as a reference base is working out.
She does have that sly and coy look to here doesn't she, maybe she wants to take a bath with a certain rooster.
I really do need to sit down at some point and work on coloring and inking as well. I've got twisted brush installed on my system, I just haven't gotten around to using it yet.
