Made a simple auto-off circuit with a 555 timer and some caps and resistors. Carved the housing out of a small log and hid the electronics inside so I can press a hidden button and trigger a UV LED to turn on and light up a glow-in-the-dark mushroom. After 5 minutes the LED shuts off. Mushroom makes glowy nightlight for several hours. ^_^

I added the circuit diagram to the picture. It's pretty simple. The components probably cost around $5 It's just 3 resistors, 2 capacitors, a 555 timer, a UV LED, and a momentary switch.
