In March of 2005, Canada lost a great composer, Dr. Patrick RT Cardy. While I was studying at Carleton University, I had the opportunity to learn music theory from him. Had I continued my studies, he would have been my composition teacher too.

He will be greatly missed, and the following is a composition for SSATB choir, flute and harp that I wrote for him in the weeks following his death.
