Chrysander and Red Rob stare at one another, wheezing heavily and barely able to stand. "You're... Very exciting... To fight... Old man haha. I can't... Wait to... See what’s next." Red Rob says with a sickeningly sinister tone as a dark aura begins to surround him, like the light around him slowly being absorbed by the darkness till only his silhouette was visible. Chrysander glares at him through the bat mask he has on, his wounds slowly dripping blood onto the ground. "I have to end this fast, who knows what else this boy is capable of. This mask may help me detect him easier but detecting and seeing are two different things entirely." His head felt light as he lowered his center of mass. "Aw what's wrong, old man? Ready to give up already? I'd be more than happy to test my dear uncle and cousin over there if you are hehehaha." The voice that echoed out of the darkness sounded like it was from a different entity entirely, then again when he explained who he was it sounded like he was a separate personality altogether.
Chrysander racked his brain as best he could as he stared ahead, his two injured companions watching from outside the mask while the other two watched from the sidelines. Neither C nor Noah knew what to do except watch and wait for what would happen next as the darkness around the silhouette pulsed rhythmically. The longer they stared the faster the pulsing grew, till it violently exploded outward. Red Rob rose to his feet, a thick flowing cape covering his body and covered in old symbols of a long dead language. The mask also seems to have changed into a more primal state, with sabre teeth on the lower and upper jaw of the muzzle. Overall the visage was... Terrifying beyond words or explanation, just made you feel like crying over how helpless you would were against it. "Nice trick, though now I understand why Rob is as powerful as he is." Chrysander says tauntingly as Red Rob pulls the Artemis back out, looking more like a royal scepter with a pair of winged serpents looking up to a red jewel. "It’s nothing too new, old one, the final test to see if you can handle the information this mask holds. You must beat the power that Rob fears so much... The anger of the Red King" Red Rob says in a huskier voice than before, as if his age changed as well as his form.
"That voice... Why does it feel like I've heard it before...?" Noah thinks to himself as he stares ahead, unable to stop his body as he rises to his feet. "That coat... That voice... Why are you so familiar?" Noah whispered out loud, the ear of the wolf's mask twitching in Noah's direction. "It seems someone is starting to remember something... But will you be able to use those memories in time to save your comrades?" Red Rob says tauntingly to Noah as he took a step towards Chrysander, lifting his staff above his head. Chrysander grunts and goes to one knee from exhaustion, Noah’s heart pounded in his head as it all seemed to happen in slow motion. No matter how much he tried he couldn’t control his body as it dashed to Chrysander’s side and raised his paws from his waist over his head in a fluid motion, suddenly ice raised out of the ground around Chrysander and Noah to form a dome just before the staff’s bead strikes them. A loud dull echo, like a stone hitting metal, echoes through the battlefield followed by a few seconds of silence from amazement and shock.
“When someone you care about disappears before your eyes, you can never forget what they gave you…” Noah says harshly as he swats the ice away with one paw. “Despite the fact that he is no longer there, he is still alive in my heart and memories so long as can fight for those I love!” He growls as he raises a paw above his head, a large yo-yo of ice forming on his paw. He tosses the yo-yo wheel at Red Rob, Red Rob gracefully dodging; Noah reels it back and swipes his free paw forward to send a snaking line of ice spikes towards Red Rob. Again Red Rob dodges it, this time aiming the staff at Noah and firing the jewel on top at him. “WHAT?! The jewel is attached… like Rob’s grappling hooks?!” Noah thinks to himself as he dodges the jewel and grabs ahold of the rope as it swings by, sending ice down the line towards Red Rob. “You sure haven’t lost your compassion, after all these years it’s usually the first to go.” Red Rob says with a chuckle as he shakes the ice off, as he did though the ice reformed around his feet. As he looked up he saw the yo-yo coming his way, he raises his paw up to catch it but it wraps around his arm at first then around his body.
“Heh… Heh heh… It seems you’ve learned something since we last fought, Blue King.” Red Rob says as he raises his head with a large grin. “Then again you’re not the only one who learned some new tricks.” He says as he breaks the rope wrapped around him with a body flex, a clone of Red Rob appearing and launching towards Noah with a scythe held high. “Let’s see you dodge me, blue boy!” Red Rob’s clone says as he attempts to strike Noah, Noah rolling around his assailant and placing his paw on the back of the clone. “Return to the earth where you belong!” Noah growls as the clone instantly becomes encased in ice, Noah growling as he turns back towards Red Rob and sees blood flying into the air, splattering his cheek. C had rushed in front of his son to take the brunt of an attack of the staff with a large blade in place of the jewel.
“Call them what you want, but no matter what their past was like they are still my boys… and I… REFUSE… TO LOSE THEM!” C yells as he pulls a garrote from his pocket and slices the staff and Red Rob’s arm. Red Rob dashes back, the arm C cut off lying in front of them as he grabs around his wound. “Heh… is that so? And what if I told you that the one you know as Rob was not the real Rob? Just a shell of who he was?” C stood there, his face a combination of shock, pain, and disbelief. “How would you know…? HOW COULD YOU KNOW HOW HE FEELS?! HE LOST HIS PARENTS AND ALMOST DIED TWICE NOW WITHOUT YOUR HELP!” C yelled at Red Rob, clenching his paws on the garrote wire tightly. “I know all too well how that child feels… I was there, and I saw the whole thing from his point of view. I WAS THE ONE WHO SAVED HIM FROM THAT ROC THAT ALMOST KILLED HIM!” Red Rob growled back as he gripped his would tighter, the blood dripping down slowly stopped as he glared forward.
“I AM THE ONE WHO HELD THOSE MEMORIES FROM HIM! I KNOW HE ISNT ABEL TO HANDLE HIS REGRETS OR THE ONES FROM MY LIFE YET! THAT was all I could do, his fragile body and mind can’t handle this power yet, and so far none of you have proven you can handle the knowledge either!” Red Rob growled as he glares at the three. Noah clenches his fist and takes a few steps forward. “You think we can’t handle this knowledge in the mask or the power Rob has tucked away? He’s not the only one who has powers that are beyond his control… Long ago, before rain was rare there was a land of snow and ice, and in its center was a castle made of ice. Despite the desolate landscape, there was a single soul living inside the castle. He lived there by himself for lifetimes, living with the cold and ice. He had a special power that no one else had, the power to control the element of water in all its forms.
He knew he was the only one because he had scoured the world before making his home away from those who had scorned him in his lifetime as well as those who tried to use gin for personal gain. In his dreams he saw a small husky, every night the husky was drowning in a large sphere of water that he just couldn't break away from. And every night he would help the pup break free of his little prison with his power, trying to help the little pup overcome his trouble with the water. As the pup grew, so did the smile on the face of the lonesome ruler of the icy wasteland as the pup quickly learned how to control water like him. As the pup grew to a teenager, the ruler was no longer feeling alone in the world and was finally happy. One night though, the ruler looked to his friend with a heavy sadness. "It’s been so wonderful to finally have a kindred spirit, but I'm afraid my time has come. Please remember me when you fight for yourself and for your friends with this gift, and one day I hope to see you again." As a tear formed, he laid a hand onto the young husky's shoulder and closed his eyes for the last time and turned into a man-made of snow and ice…” Noah says as he visibly trembles from anger.
“The only thing that keeps me from losing control of my emotions from all this is the promise I made to man that saved me from myself for all those years… And every day I keep him in my thoughts to remember all that he taught me!” Noah says as he glares back at Red Rob, Red Rob smiling a little. “So those stories you told him were true then… You really did meet with the Blue King heh heh.” Red Rob says as he begins to chuckle, then a laugh. “All this time I thought you were just trying to comfort him by distracting him.” Slowly Red Rob’s cloak and staff fade as the tears continue to fall. “Heh heh… Noah… Your heart is just like Rob’s, pure hearted yet so very blue.” Noah stared at Red Rob, shocked at the change of personality so fast. And yet… he couldn’t help but feel happy, like he got to see his old friend the king of snow one more time.
“Blue… heh heh, the only sign we have that we are still alive huh?” Noah said with a chuckle, lifting his head up as the tears began to pour and snow began to fell from above. Chrysander hobbles over to C and Noah. “What… What is this?” Chrysander asks as he looks around, the snow falling and landing on his wounds, the wounds quickly fading away. “It’s snow, old one. A true relic of the past, one we may never have been able to see if it weren’t for Noah… “ Red Rob says tiredly as he begins to pant, his body slowly fading into red snowflakes. “Please, can you at least do this old soul one last favor before you leave?” Red Rob says as he looks to Noah as his legs begin to disappear.
“Don’t leave him to his thoughts… like I was. My thoughts made me paranoid about everyone until one day someone I loved tried to kill me in my sleep. I awoke with their knife in my rib cage and their tears on my face… That was the last thing I saw before everything went red. When I came to, I saw nothing but rubble and dead bodies of those I loved… Even my son was killed by my hand. The guilt and sorrow was more than I could bear, so much so that it tore my body and mind apart…” Chrysander hobbles to Red Rob, laying a paw on his shoulder. “It takes a village to raise a child, yet a few words or a single action is all it takes to break a man. We won’t forget you or what happened here, old one.” Noah nods and wipes the tears from his eyes as he smiles. “We will never leave Rob, Red King, that’s a promise.” Red Rob smiles back and opens his eyes. “Thank you, Blue King.” He says as the last of his body fades away, leaving the mask as it was on a snowman where Red Rob once was.
