ok first off... i didn't make this its not my work! i found this wonderful streamer on twitch.tv who made sand art like no joke SAND ART! when i saw what she was making i just had this vivid image of her drawing a volcano with the sand and just thought it would look beautiful.
well 20 minutes later after i showed the picture to her that i had in mind this wonderful artist from Russia named Anna made me this! *holds out paws* like seriously... .i love this and wish i had it in rl on my wall. it looks as awesome as i thought.
for those curious she uses a special kinda sand i can't remember what but also a special made board with underlight that can show many different colors. of all the ones she did (i have each one saved and may post up a second piece of all the different colors if people want to see it.)
now made her a promise and i fully plan to fulfill it as such

this is Anna's stream line on twitch she only streams 4 times a week unless she has an urge to add an extra day like this sunday. also she lives in Russia so for all those people living in say the US understand you may have to be up late to catch her. but i swear to you its worth it. now all of you with twitch accounts please do her a favour and run over there and give her all the watches and subs! her work is amazing and she is quite easy going and relaxed ^.^ its a nice relaxing stream to watch.

i;ve never watched before and seeing Anna produce this made my day and it was amazing to watch partly because of how fast she was. i mean one person pitched the idea for a mushroom forest from some fantasy art setting and she pretty much made the whole picture in sand. she also did up a staypuff marshmellow man from ghostbusters was awesome
This is an unusual piece -- I've never seen one coloured in such a fashion. The lava actually looks liquid.
The best sand artist (in fact the only one I've seen), was Kseniya Simonova, who won 'Ukraine's got Talent' in 2009 with an 8-minute story about a young couple separated by World War II. She also did her sand artistry in the Ukrainian entry for the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest (which might have been when I found out about her). While the singer was in the foreground singing, she was off to the side using the sand, with the picture projected on the huge screen in the background.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtXFIOJh3W8 -- Ukraine's Got Talent performance. Very moving, and had the judges and audience in tears. Received a standing ovation.
