Lately, I've been documenting my mythology at http://demon.aeto.net/ and have wanted to get some artwork for some of the more interesting demons. This is the first of such artwork, of Belial, Arch-Demon Duke of Diabolism (aka Black Magic) in that mythos. Not all the demons in that world are pretty, well-proportioned beasts (like Gilrandree), and this is an example of one which is rather unusual in build. It is technically a non-gendered creature in this mythology, so should always be referred to as "it" rather than "he" or "she."

Oh my goodness!
In all my time studying scripture, I've always wondered what Belial looked like--and now I know!
I always knew that Dagon was a merfolk, but I never knew what Belial was. Now I know!
And might I say, this illustration is definitely epic. Lightning, thunderclouds--and a python coming right at you! This guy is SCARY! I love it!
Now I just have to see what Baal looks like. Or maybe Leviathan and Behemoth? Hmm...
Anyways--Nice work! This is awesome! Edgy as a longsword--a steel one! With skulls on it! With skulls on the skulls! With horns on the skulls! And on fire! Few can get more "metal" than that!
