Those who know me, know that I actually really adore spiders. Especially jumping spiders! (though honestly I don't like to touch them...I respect the fact that they have just as much right to live as I do and prefer to catch-release rather then squish)
Bit of a backstory on this fabrication. About 5 years...I've been working on this pattern. 5. Freaking. Years. Off and on I would work on it, test it, hate it...get depressed...and abandon it for a while. I can't even count how many drafts and dummies I've gone through to even get this far. And at last, I have something worth showing!!!
This adorable little guy is made of high quality faux furs and has the most sweet chocolate brown safety eyes. He's about 12-13" long. Each leg alone took 8 pieces to make. So I'll be trying to simplify the pattern so that I can make more of these a bit quicker/easier. He is weighted with pellets in both the abdomen and thorax giving him a bit of heft when you pick him up. Currently he is resting between the osicones (sp?) of my giraffe skull. ^^

X AX If I could afford him, I would adopt this adorable little bugger before anyone had a chance tosteal "buy" him... and if it hadn't taken 5 years (thus making him unique) I'dve asked for another one because this one will probably be gone soon... if not before this mesage gets sent/finished... Oh how I hope he goes to a good home... p 3p he deserves it... **waves a little fluff spooder** jumping spiders are the cutest... especially with their little water hats... to CUTE!

;) And a wolf spider is on my to-do list eventually. A very close friend of mine has a wolf spider character and is dying to see him done in plush form.

I'm trying really hard to get past My Phobia of spiders..... It's more of a fear than a phobia now.... It helps having a very supportive understanding group of family and friends... Especially Mama, Daddy, My Husband and two friends who are obsessed with bugs.... XD well one is obsessed with bugs the other is more specifically obsessed with spiders.... XD

Due to the complexity of these guys I don't foresee me doing customs of these. ^^; they'll likely end up just being premades, as customs would end up being quite expensive due to complexity and time involved making them. The only way I can keep them lower in price is to make them as I please, and take as long as I please ^^;;;;
