Zena's lucky, she gets two Mommy's Days - Zed always likes to make a fuss of her on the British day as well as the American one. But he complains that it's unfair that Father's Day is the same in both countries ^.^

No, no, no, we celebrate it in the right month (actually, it's sometimes in April instead - it's the fourth Sunday in Lent) and it's you silly foreigners who've got it all wrong ^.^ But aww, I'm sorry you won't be in the same place as your mom. Find someone else's mommy, and beep her nose instead!

It's based on Lent? Didn't you Brits fight some kind of war to kick Catholicism out of your country? Maybe I'm misremembering history.

Well, not so much a war as a couple of centuries of constant fighting and bickering... but Lent isn't just a Catholic thing, the Church of England does it too. So do all the various branches of Christianity except the really, really weird ones, I think. But I'm not an expert on religion ^.^

I think that's because the idea of a Father's Day is more modern, while different Mother's Day traditions grew up in different places when the world was a smaller place...
