One of two pieces commissioned by a client who used to live in Alaska. I imagined that a mother bear took a break from hibernation to show her cub the magnificent Aurora Borealis. Got to play with some new brushes too. :)

This is one of the most beautiful pieces I've seen. The colors of the lights look so perfect and really brings it all together. I love the look of the bear's expressions too, so content and like everything is at piece...what paints did you use?

I have never seen the Auroras, but I've always wanted to. Some say that if one sees a very active display in a place where it's very, very quiet, they seem to crackle and hum like a Neon sign.
