Endless Realms - Magic Items
Corebook artwork for Endless Realms, a D&D-like "pen and paper" fantasy RPG I'm working for.
A small selection of magical items that can be found in Endless Realms - most of them are a bit on the "mundane" side and are fairly understated with the exception of the Tiny Meteor :b

I read the item list and the first thing I thought I read was Bacon Stones. An edible stone that tastes like bacon I thought. Would be better than rations since they won't go bad xD
I think I'd want the pendant. Especially for someone playing a dancer class. The color blending and slick finish looks amazing on it as well. My favorite out of all four.

Hahaha, I thought that, too! I was like, "Mmm, bacon stones :V" I think my idea for bacon stones would be, like... monster bait - smells/tastes like bacon, but upon being eaten maybe has a special effect (puts monster to sleep, inflicts some sort of mind control, explodes...) XD But yeah, non-perishable bacon would be pretty sweet! Just a shame about being stones, since I imagine they'd be heavy to carry around :b
Ahh, the pendant! When triggered, it turns into a large leaf-boat/platform that can safely slow-fall through the air or carry people across water. Supposedly it cannot be burned, punctured or torn, so it sounds potentially indestructible, so maybe it could also be used as a shield or possibly to be eaten by monsters, expanded, and then used to explode them :b

That's it. Your party gets sent on a quest not to kill a monster but to capture one. Say for a traveling circus or show of some sort. So they give you these stones that emanates the smell of fresh bacon and even taste like it, if you lick it. So the party is sent out to some forest or something and has to lure it out with bacon stones. From there you have to wear it down with a fight and either use nets to capture it or you can use two or three pendents to capture it in an indestructible shell.
Brain storming ideas out of misreading magical items xD

Heh, glad you like it, although honestly someone else gave most of the items their names, not me. The only one I named was what was previously just called "Leaf Pendant" - figured I could come up with a more interesting working title in the meantime :V
But anyway, yeah, Cat's Curiosity is basically a skeleton key that can literally open any lock, so long as the lock wasn't itself magical.
