This is one of the sketches I've done to help me keep everyone in 'Bone Shard' on model. This sketch, as far as a model drawing, is more about Hazyl's dress than her markings or build; I've drawn her enough not to need one so much. But keeping the dress right, and to design late-Victorian dresses that look period, is a far bigger challenge.
corpsefairy has given me invaluable help on this (and if you want a Victorian dress, talk to her, she does that). 'Harper's Bazaar 1867-89' is my other vital resource with this.
I think the side-view may be my favorite drawing of Hazyl. And about her. The willful bitch has totally hijacked my comic! It's ok, though; even if she was conceived of as set dressing for Danielle and Shard, Lady Greywood has become more in my heart, and I think the story will be much better for it.
