Background: From the same desert kingdom as Shaharazad, Luthien is the daughter of a Veridian merchant and a desert native woman. The kingdom was founded by a lost band of Greek Lucario warriors who intermingled with the local Arab/Persian derived population, but Luthien's ancestors adopted some of the local Egyptian-derived culture. Luthien's father was a lucrio who traded regularly with the kingdom and brought Luthien back with him when she was small to the wider world. She's traveled back and forth many times, resulting in a certain deeper understanding of both worlds. When Princess Shaharazad was scheduled to go to the prestigious Poke-Combat Academy, it was arranged for Luthien to go as well since she was more familiar with the area than the princess.

Luthien was spotted by Campion for her grace, poise and athletic prowess. She was co-opted onto Team Jade, something which Luthien loves. She's a friendly, outgoing girl who's never at a loss for making friends.
