Hyvää joulua! Ihan mahtava ilme tuolla hahmolla, ei kuva kuitenkaan tainnut olla jouluaiheinen, vai mitä? No, ei se mitään, kuva on minusta hyvin onnistunut, yksityiskohtainen, persoonallinen. Vaikka pidänkin "väriä mustalle" -kuvistasi, niin on sitä ihan kiva välillä nähdä näitä tietyssä mielessä perinteisempiä "mustaa valkoiselle" -kuviakin.

Do you know why I commented in Finnish? I did it so to avoid the he/she pronoun. Because I don't know what sex Ripkin is. I have stumbled onto Charha's FA page a few times, but that character's sex has always been a mystery to me.... yeah... But the blame is only in me, I'm sure of that.

Anyway, great picture, I like it, I like the details and expression is grand. "Don't get on my bad side!" Pretty awesome work.

No, it was never meant to be particularly Christmassy picture, just a regular gift. I too found it rather refreshing to go back to the black on white drawings, just to keep my skills from getting too rusty. But it hasn't made me want to abandon my coloured endeavours, worry not! ^_^

Ripkin is male, most of the time. He has been known to give birth to some children, though, so the concept of gender is rather flexible when it comes to him.

Anyway, I'm really pleased you liked the picture and I just hope that Charha likes it too! ^_^

Ripkin features in a sort of rpg world (or several in fact) and he is a powerful magician. And with magic, one can do all sorts of cool things, including changing one's gender... ^_^

It's safest to say that he is mostly male. He has occasionally done some gender-bending, but the origins of these abilities are pretty, uh... technical. And yes, I love the picture! :D

I think it all makes Ripkin all the more interesting to be around...

I love the shading of the fur, especially around the eyes and muzzle. Such a subtle but nasty snarl he's wearing x3

It was Christmas a looong time ago... When you see my sketch book next month, you'll realise that this has been in the makings for a long while now...

I'm glad you like it, though. I should try drawing realistic Senzam, too. Just to see what he might look like. And I really wonder what Senzam has done to make Ripkin that grumpy. Got himself pregnant with Damura, perhaps...

Well, I think that might make Ripkin a bit miffed. Rip is the only one who is allowed go preggies without warning.

I hope Ripkin reminds Senzam of that regularly, otherwise he might forget. He is rather old and all...
