The Guardians of the Galaxy suddenly have some misgivings about letting a certain raccoon guard the cosmic cube when entire tracts of space, their ship included, suddenly manifest in Rocket's quarters on that very ship.

So we have only  Alkali to blame for this mess, I have to assume he gave him the idea. . . and is probably somewhere in that bed.
