Centurion, really, and just the one. Don't imagine him leading an army of similarly-constructed units, Avernus was really more of a mascot for the engineering group that built him.

It's a division of the munitions/engineering corporation MarsTech - at some point, they decided to create a division dedicated to pure research and engineering experimentation, or a "skunkworks" as it's known. Geddit?

Well now I feel a right nelly, since I completely forgot he's a skunk. In my defence, I've burnt my eyes out on academic journals regarding the Waffen SS, so my brain isn't up to comprehending anything beyond the realms of National Socialism at the minute.
