Still busy, so more stuff from the vaults....
Steve Gallacci's Erma Felna.
This is the other Erma fan art from 1990...done about a month before or after the previously posted one done in March '90. i didn't finish inking this, too busy with other stuff and i messed up a bit on the shading "tone" lines which vexed me greatly...of course now i can fix that digitally...so....i'll probably try to finish this up this yeaqr as there is very little left to do, and then some digi colours...
i don't recall what pen i used for this...original is approx 9 x 14

Well, the type of background stuff here is way easier to do digitally than in real inking....but i will probably do some combination of both. There is something primal about having a physical original drawing that embodies imaginations and craftsmanship - it's real, like jewel, which is why we frame originals...blather blather - not sure how to describe it. Anyway, point is, it will get done and coloured sometime soonish...
i saw a few other anthro comix back in the late 80s/early 90s, but they were mostly fluff. Gallacci showed that you could do serious stories in the anthro genre (as did C.J.Cheryh in her Chanur prose saga). So he's sort of a hero of mine...an innovator, and big influence on the main series of graphic novels i'm working on. ^_^

Still have the resin Erma and Toki figures un-painted in the attic somewhere...Sadly, not pose able or life size or animatronic, etc....
