...Actually, Jirachi and Giratina sound quite similar phonetically now that I look at this. Just as a hypothetical situation, it would be interesting if Giritina (under the idea that there are multiple legendaries) were possibly once Jirachi when alive. Jirachi is stated to grant wishes, and while it's implied Jirachi gravitate towards people with pure intentions, it could be entirely possible that someone could force a Jirachi to complete a wish that would cause a severe amount of violence (something that Giritina is banished to the distortion world for) Additionally speaking, while I'm not entirely sure on the continuity, in the diamond/pearl manga (or was it platinium?) Giritina was shown to be capable of kindness and so tl;dr, it's an interesting theory but in no way am I saying it's probable. Just something I thought of while looking at the cute art.

Oh, and Jirachi is steel/psychic, and one of Giritina's abilities is "Telepathy". Makes ya Think™
